Teachers - High School

Key Roles

I grew up in Calgary and attended the University of Lethbridge, completing degrees in Anthropology and Education.  Prior to Cremona School, I worked as an Elementary Music Teacher at Coalhurst Elementary School.  I have lived in the Cremona area for the past 9 years and enjoy working and living in our tight knit, generous, rural community.  It is such a privilege to have my own children in the building I work in. I live in Water Valley with my husband Paul, my daughter Anabelle,  my sons Aiden and Atlas and our dog, cat, chickens, pigs, turkeys, pony, cows and tennant donkeys.  Our family enjoys camping, music, gardening, reading, swimming and skating.

My current teaching assignment includes all Social Studies at the high school level (9-12).  Through Social Studies we explore geography, politics, economics, history and current events.  It is my goal to provide my students with the necessary skills to engage with and positively impact the world around them.   Additionally, I am teaching Food Studies 10, 20 and 30 where we are completing modules in areas of student interest.  I am very excited about completing or Farm to Table module in December.

In addition to my teaching assignment, I also; publish the school newsletter, put on the Kids' Halloween Party in Water Valley, organize the Annual Highway Clean-up and am currently sitting on the New Hall Committee for the Water Valley Community Association.
